Lee Jordan...Ron Weasley...George Weasley
How do you move on when everything you knew is washed away?
Life, no matter what kind, must go on, even after events such as that in May 1998. George Weasley lost his best mate, confidant, and twin that day and his world has since stayed upside down. He heard that there was staging of grief; that one day he will be able to feel ok, but he doesn’t believe it. He can’t believe it. He was rocked by the loss of Fred, and thus has lost his joking touch.
In the two years since the final battle, Weasley Wizarding Wheezes has been up and running and quite popular amongst everyone around. The huge success, while is in large part due to the foundation in which the Weasley twins built their business on, since the war this success can only be attributed to Ron Weasley and Lee Jordan. No one knows what kind of George they are going to get when he wakes up in the morning…if he wakes up in the morning. George’s grief is at times as scary as it is sad. He has taken to drink, will smoke when offtered, and will not get out of bed for days unless forced. He does not talk with anyone he knew in his old life as much as he can help it as the memories seem to suffocate him at every turn. He is wild, unreliable, and angry but the people who really love him are not ready to let him give up.
Ron and Lee have been running the shop as well as trying to advance their own careers to help their friend and brother out. Ron’s relationship with Hermione is being tested due to the long hours away, while Lee is trying to run three jobs on top of WWW. They walk on egg shells to try and not to upset George but he is like a ticking time bomb. They are burnt out, and what is worse, they know George is on his wits end.
The three men fight constantly to keep George going. They look after him but do not know how much good it is doing. Lee thinks they should cut off the support they are giving him so he can move on without the handicap, while Ron can’t let himself watch George go up in flames as he still holds the guilt of Fred’s death over his head.
This is not the George one would remember from Hogwarts. He is lost…and has no intention of finding himself, in fear that if he does he may lose the memory of his brother forever.
